I discovered the most charming organic cafe in Positano yesterday which I went to for breakfast and lunch and am about to go back this morning for my last Positano meal!
The cafe itself is a combination of food & design and has such a fresh feeling as soon as you walk through the doors. It is filled with crisp white interiors and gorgeous Italian home wares and ceramics which are also available for purchase. I really loved the set up of Cafe e Bottega which has an open bench kitchen down the back, where sat the home made tarts and cakes of the day: pear and chocolate, flourless chocolate, chocolate and almond, lemon cheescake , all made with local organic and fresh ingredients.
I am so glad I found this hidden gem in Positano. There is a lot of heavy and traditional Italian food here and Case e Bottega has a light, fresh and healthy menu which is really something else. The owner, Tanina Vanacore is a real master chef and is such a nice lady. She also owns another restaurant here in Positano and at Casa e Bottega, prepares the food in the open kitchen of healthy salads, sandwiches and fruit smoothies.
For breakfast I had the most beautifully prepared fruit salad and for lunch I had a salad of rocket, salmon, melon, avocado & feta with olive oil dressing. I also tried the organic chocolate and almond caprese cake which was so delicate and perfect.
