Chobani is a Greek word for "sherperd" and is symbolic for a gift that comes from the heart. Chobani is not just greek yoghurt. Its an experience, nothing but good, and one that is so completely satisfying and inspiring. As both of my hands arguably fly into the air, who else can put their hands up and say that they've walked into a yoghurt bar like a four year old in a candy store, only to top their yoghurt bowl with eighteen different, clashing combinations of sugar and almonds, sprinkles and fruit turning into a assemblage of not so fun food coma madness?
At Chobani, the predetermined 9 flavour creations, 2 of which are seasonal are simple matches made in yoghurt heaven- salmon and dill, fig and walnut, peanut butter and jelly, toasted coconut and pineapple, pistachio and chocolate, strawberry and granola, cucumber and oilve oil served with pita chips, blueberry and power, grapefruit and mint made for some very happy tastebuds. As a proactive Aquarius and down right worst decision maker ever, I won't take you through my process of choosing a favourite creation because they are all so perfect in their own way however the American Child in me does scream for more peanut butter & jelly!
What I love most about Chobani is innovative approach, its people, it's simplicity, originality the way that the store left me feeling so inspired and fresh. Simple and active (quite literally) is what Chobani stands for and what I believe is a more than appropriate mantra for everything else.
I can't wait to be able to experiment with the Chobani products in the kitchen in marinades, dips, sauces and soups and get creative and try my own creations at home. I am so lucky to have been able to visit this store and am counting all my lucky stars for landing me in this concrete jungle (where creations are made of).
