Le Pain Quotidien Santa Monica

I landed at LAX early, early Monday morning after a not half bad flight and to a very rainy Los Angeles. This time I decided to stay down at Santa Monica, I love the vibe, the beach, the area and most importantly, the health foods scene down here.

After wandering a bit deliriously around Third St Promenade and Santa Monica Place, in and out and then in and out of Urban Outfitters and the like, I was starving and found Le Pain Quotidien on the main strip of shops right near Kitson which was a pretty perfect set up.

There are a couple of Le Pain's in Sydney and their philosophy is to source organic wherever they can. Their US menu is a bit different to their Australian one and their homey decor and sweet like agave menu is so amazing and I'm already dreaming of how I can re-create this Chia Seed Pudding when I get home.

What I ate:

Organic Egg Salad Tartine on freshly made organic wholewheat bread
Chia Seed Pudding made with coconut milk and mulled raspberries (vegan/botanical option)
Grapefruit ginger tonic with tumeric and agave

What I would go back to try:

Rawnola
Wholewheat french toast
Organic Quinoa Taboule salad with argula, chickpeas and avocado
Aged Goats Cheese salad with argula, pinenuts, tomato, parmesan, olive oil and lemon

316 Santa Monica Blvd, Santamonica
